Pavie Decesse 2006

The word Pavie is most associated with the great wines of St Emilion, and this 2006 Pavie Decesse certainly falls into this category. This is a full body wine with good intensity of flavours of blackcurrant, blackberries, dark cherries, and lots of minerals. Fine tannins give the wine a nice mouthfeel. The wine still has potential to develop but it has enough cellar time to be drinking well now. 

Grapes - 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

Food Pairing - goes nicely with pork whether roasted and grilled chops. For vegetarians, grilled mushroom with garlic.
