Santacroce 1997

The flagship wine made from equal blends of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, another fine example of why the term Super Tuscans has such high respect around the world. A complex wine using both traditional and modern winemaking techniques, it has generous flavours of black cherries, blackberries and blackcurrant. Nice acidity from the Sangiovese balances nicely with the tannins from the Cabernet Sauvignon.
